Nationality vs. Race

Let’s make this clear for the last time, shall we? Let’s say the new bill against immigration allows for an officer to suspect a mexican and ask for proof of citizenship, or the proper papers to be in the country, (which isn’t what the bill is allowing, btw) would it be unconstitutional? No. Would it be racial profiling? Definately not. Would it be wrong? The opposite- it would be perfectly logical.

‘Mexican’ is not a race. ‘American’ is not a race. ‘German’ is not a race. ‘Japanese’ is not a race. Get the picture? Those are nationalities. If you see a man walking down the street wearing the Mexican flag, would you suspect him of being an immigrant? An illegal immigrant, even? Why yes, you certainly would. Or, at least, you should. Because it isn’t wrong.

A white man can be Mexican, an asian can be Mexican, a black man could be Mexican. It just so happens that most Mexicans are hispanic. Yes, ‘hispanic’. THAT is a race. There is quite the difference. And as far as everyone should be concerned- we are at war with Mexico. We may not be using guns and soldiers, but there are other means of destroying a country. And it seems to be working, with Mexico winning, does it not?
